Build the future of software
With engineers who ship, own, and grow

Sixth Summit is the engineering team SMEs trust to take their AI from prototype to production. If you want frontier tools, real ownership, and a team that ships — apply below.

    Who we're looking for

Four roles make up the Sixth Summit bench. We're always keeping an eye out for great people in any of them.

    AI Software Engineer

Ship production AI-native software for SMB and startup clients. Full-stack, opinionated, fast.

    • Greenfield builds + iterating on shipped products
    • Claude and OpenAI under the hood, GCP for infrastructure
    • Own features end-to-end — UI to data layer

    Tech Lead

Steer the technical direction across a small portfolio of client engagements.

    • Architecture, code review, and unblocking the team
    • Translate fuzzy client outcomes into shippable scope
    • Mentor engineers and raise the floor on our delivery

    Client Success

Own the client relationship end-to-end. The connective tissue between Sixth Summit and the people we build for.

    • Weekly cadence, expectation-setting, scope conversations
    • Spot risk early, route it before it becomes a fire
    • Make every client feel like our only client

    QA Engineer

Defend production. Catch the bugs that would otherwise reach a client, and the regressions that would lose their trust.

    • Manual + AI-assisted test coverage across the portfolio
    • Shape the testing strategy as our delivery pace scales
    • Partner with engineers on hard-to-reproduce edges

    What makes Sixth Summit different

We're not an agency. We're not a freelance pool. We're a small, opinionated team that runs differently — and it shows up in the work.

    AI-native by default

We don't bolt AI onto legacy workflows — we build software where AI is part of the substrate. Every engineer here ships with current-gen models in the loop.

    Always on the frontier

Paid R&D time and a real budget to experiment with the newest models, frameworks, and tooling as they ship. Frontier work is part of the job — not something you cram into your weekend.

    Retainer-funded stability

We're paid monthly by clients on multi-month engagements, not sprint-by-sprint. That means stable income, focused work, and no chasing the next contract every Friday.

    Outcomes over hours

We measure what you ship and the impact it has — not seat time, billable utilization, or how many tickets you closed. If the outcome is there, the rest is yours.

    Embedded, not ticket-shoveling

You'll work as part of the client's team — in their Slack, in their planning, with real ownership over systems. We're not a body shop and we won't treat you like one.

    Small bench by design

We hire selectively and only when we're growing. That keeps the bar high, attrition low, and the standing room for great work wide open.

    How we work

Remote-first, async-first, and embedded with clients. Here's the shape of a typical engagement from your side.

    1

    Kickoff with the client

You drop into the client's team, their tools, and their cadence. The first week or two is about understanding what success actually looks like — not just the brief.

    2

    Embedded delivery

Remote-first, async-first. You ship work the way you ship best — Claude Code, Cursor, GCP, and whatever else is the right tool for the job. Weekly client touch-points keep direction tight.

    3

    Ongoing optimization

Once it's in production, you keep iterating: shipping new features, tightening performance, watching what the data says. Engagements are long enough that you actually see your work compound.
